Tulane. Now more than ever.

President Michael A. Fitts

From its very beginning, Tulane’s rich history is one of leveraging the power of education to alleviate human suffering. It’s a powerful and unique story, and one that is more resonant now than ever. As we face the terrible impact of COVID-19, it becomes clear that an ever stronger, ever more resilient Tulane isn’t an ambition, it’s a critical necessity for our students and our community.

Powerful Research,
Powerful Response

Tulane University’s world-renowned faculty and researchers are working on the front lines with Leaders, Entrepreneurs, and Philanthropists who are tackling COVID-19.

The world is facing a crisis like no other, which is why a Tulane—a university like no other—is stepping to the forefront in facing the challenges wrought by this pandemic.

Founded in 1834 to face the yellow fever and cholera epidemics then ravaging New Orleans, our work to this day is to face the world’s most pressing issues. We have a unique confluence of leadership, thought, infrastructure, and collaborative resources with which to do so. Join us in this fight and help us change the world.

We are on the verge of being able to unlock information that could then lead to vaccines and treatments. For COVID-19 we don’t need support in a year, we need it immediately.

– Dr. Giovanni Piedimonte, Tulane University’s vice president for research
